On September 2 of this year, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice president and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the Initiative for retirees around the world to apply for the Retirement visa in Dubai.
According to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai, the Five-year retirement visa allows Dubai residents and citizens around the world to live in Emirate if they meet any one of the below criteria.
To be eligible for Retirement Visa one should be of the age 55 years and above.
Further, they should comply with any of the below requirements:
(A) Drawing a Monthly Retirement Salary of Dh20,000 from their former place of work.
(B) Have Cash savings of Dh1 million in a bank.
(C) Owns property in Dubai, Valuing around at least D2 million.
